What is domiciliary home care or daily domiciliary care?
Domiciliary care service means you can stay in the comfort of your own home, while our team of carers will support you with personal care like bathing and dressing, reminding you to take your medication, our simply helping you out with odd jobs around the house.
How do you choose your domiciliary carers?
All our daily home carers have not one, but two rigorous interviews. They will have undergone psychological testing to make sure they have the right temperament for the job and we always ask for – and talk to – at least two referees. We also ensure all our carers have completed a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Why use home care agency, rather than hiring a private, self-employed carer?
Our team of carers are all professionally trained and we do all the reference checking, interviewing and managing of your care – so you don’t have to. We also provide back-up carers, so if for any reason you are usual daily home carer can’t make it, we will make sure someone else can cover. At Allfor Care, it’s all about providing peace of mind for you and your family.
How do I arrange for carers to come and visit me?
Please call the care office. One of our friendly care team will answer your call and take a few details from you. Once we have talked over the phone to you about the type of care or support that you think you may need we will come and visit you to discuss your requirements in more detail. We can talk about how often you think you would like carers to visit each day and for how long.
How do we check you are receiving the right service?
We will hold a Review with yourself, carers, family and friends to discuss the service you are receiving. The discussion will help us ensure that we are meeting standards and providing a quality service for you.
How long do the carers stay for?
Our carers all come for a minimum of 30 minutes to 24-Hours. We believe that this is the shortest amount of time that any kind of care can be delivered in. We passionately believe we should be able to stop and have a quick chat and make sure you really are safe and well before we go onto the next person.
You can, of course, book carers to come for longer than 30 minutes. We can come for a few hours at a time to help you with longer tasks, to take you shopping, do your cleaning or for some company.
How do I make Complaints, Suggestions or Compliments?
Allfor Care is committed to providing quality services. We need to hear from you if you have any complaints, suggestions or compliments about the service you receive.

Should I try to remove a brand new stain on my carpet or should I wait for the carpet cleaning team?
If there is excess liquid or other spill, then it is a good idea to blot it out with paper towels or a clean cloth. Don’t rub it, or use any stain removal solutions before the team arrives. They will pre-treat it and clean it with the appropriate cleaning solution for your type of carpet.
How should I prepare for the carpet cleaning service?
The only thing you need to do is to move the heavier furniture from the carpet if you can. The cleaners will move lighter furniture such as chairs and tables, but cannot move large and heavy furniture items. If it cannot be moved, the cleaners will use special protection for its legs or base, so that it is not damaged during the deep cleaning.
Can I feel safe for my belongings and myself with your cleaners being in my home?
All of our cleaners have been carefully selected after some serious checking, including police records. They are all vetted and professional cleaners, so you can be safe. Also, our cleaning services are all insured.
Can you offer me other cleaning services at the same time as my carpet cleaning booking?
Yes, the company provides a wide array of cleaning services, including: upholstery, mattresses, windows, ovens, one off, end of tenancy and other professional cleaning. It is a great idea to combine cleaning services, because booking more than one service at a time will bring you very serious discounts from the prices.
I have a question which is not on the FAQ list, who should I contact?
The cleaning company has a customer care service hotline 020 8930 3085 which you can call at any time with any questions regarding the services, prices, promotions and others. You can also do this online via the online form.
